[FOTD] Featuring: Too Faced Melted Lipstick in Melted Strawberry

Hello again everyone!  As promised, I'm back with a post today's FOTD (Face of the Day) featuring one of the lippies I recently reviewed here, Too Faced Melted Lipstick in Melted Strawberry.  I kept the face and eyes pretty neutral and simple and let the lips shine!  I love a good red lip, and I'm really loving this product, and the shade of red it is, is just perfect!

On the face:
  • Innisfree No-Sebum Mineral Primer
  • Holika Holika Aqua Petit Jelly BB Cream in #2
  • Innisfree No-Sebum Mineral Powder
On the eyes:
  • Innisfree Eye Primer
  • Holika Holika Holy Deer Eyeshadow Trio in #2 (I think this is discontinued now ;__; )
  • Benefit Watts Up! Cream highlighter for the inner corner and brow bone highlight
  • Etude House Play 101 Pencil in #1
  • Dolly Wink Liquid Liner in Black
  • Lioele Auto Eyebrow Pencil in #3 Grey Black
  • NYX Control Freak Eyebrow Gel
On the lips:
  • Rosebud Perfume Co. Strawberry lip balm
  • Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick in Melted Strawberry
Not pictured (because I forgot lol):
  • Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour Blush in Exposed
  • Dolly Wink Long Mascara
I purchased the Innisfree, Holika Holika, Etude House, Lioele eyebrow pencil, and Dolly Wink, or any of the Korean or Japanese products I use at PrettyandCute.comw2beauty.com, or ibuybeauti.com.

Whoa close up! O__O *smacks face on camera* Sorry guys, but I had to get my eyemakeup in there.  This is why I don't really wear eyeshadow much, it never seems to show up on me, or at least in photos.  I think I need to really pack it on, but then in person, it looks all muddy.  I can't win, anyone else have this issue?  Also, I have super, small, tiny eyelid space, so not much to work with.  That's why this girls' best friend is eyeliner!  I swear there is eyeshadow on my eyelids! (>__< )o

I really like this shade of red, because it makes my teeth look so white!  Because truth: they are not that white in person.  I actually have pretty badly stained teeth.  So a combination of the lighting in my bedroom and this red lip, does wonders!

In case ya'll are wondering what I used for the waves (attempted waves) in my hair, I have a Nume Magic Curling wand in the 35mm.  I love this thing and I use it all the time, even on my shorter length hair.  It's amazeballs for longer lengths, especially the 35mm barrel.  I have been contemplating getting the 25mm barrel for my short hair, but I can't justify dropping another $60 on a curling wand lol.  That's on sale too, I think these babies go for a normal $70+.  If you're wondering what I think, Nume hair products are bombtastic, and I'd highly recommend them; they're definitely worth the moolah you drop on them.  I have the 35mm curling wand and their hair dryer, and I love both!  Use them pretty much daily with no obscene hair damage what so ever.

"On Wednesdays, I wear red". - Anna

With that last side-eye, I hope you enjoyed this FOTD post featuring the amazing vibrancy of Melted Strawberry in the Too Faced Melted lipstick line.  I highly recommend this shade if you're a red lover, like me.  I apologize for the inconsistent lighting in the pictures, it's rainy and cloudy, yet still bright so I tried to take advantage of the brightness and take a few photos, but ended up having to adjust the brightness of each photo anyway, to try and capture the amaze that is Melted Strawberry. (-___- ); *photographing things is hard.* Anywho, thanks again for visiting, and I'll be sure to do another FOTD featuring the Too Faced La Creme lipstick in Nude Beach also!  Until next time! 1. Thank you Bella! ^___^ ♥

I love eyeshadow too, it's so tough with small lid space. I think it is time to just accept it lol. It's so much effort, packing the color on and then blending it out all nice, and then it doesn't show up! XD

  2. Pretty pretty pretty! This is such a sweet makeup look, and you have great skin. Talk about rocking that lipstick, I could never have imagined how beautiful and vibrant it would look on. Also, I understand the struggle with eyeshadow not really showing up on you (even in person); I feel that I have the same issue. I love playing around with eyeshadows (I adore my Naked palettes) yet friends always make the comment: "You don't really wear makeup, right?" which is pretty hilarious and frustrating. :)

    1. Kie, you're too sweet, thank you. Right back at you! ^.~ Regarding my skin, lol it's just BB cream and pretty decent natural lighting! XD Though I will admit, my skin has improved greatly since last year! I think I'll be doing an skincare routine series of posts soon.

Eyeshadow!! I love it, but it hates me. And I have mad love for my Naked palettes too :) (1 and 3 for me, 2 didn't interest me because it didn't suit my skintone, those are too cool for me :/)

And yes, the no makeup comment; happens all the time and I agree it's super funny/frustrating! All that hard work gone into blending, and nothing to show for it! D:

  3. Ahhh I really love the colour of your lips! I've seen so many reviews about the too faced melted lipstick except it's quite pricey :( It definitely looks pigmented and worth the price i guess though!

    1. Hi Fifi! You're absolutely right, the Melted lipsticks are very pricey (I'm not used to dropping $20+ on a lipstick either O_o) however, I'd say it was a good/well spent "splurge". These lipsticks are definitely not necessary, but if you do get one, you won't regret it, it's long lasting and if you pick a color you like, it's a nice product to use. I like this shade, and if I run out I may buy a replacement, but that might not be for a long while. :) Thanks for reading!

  4. I have been thinking about getting some curling wands from Nume for a little while now. However I was a little put off with the massive promotion on Youtube (seems like everyone and their cat were sent one for free + coupon codes). Now highly considering it again.

    1. I agree, they're shamelessly promoted all over Instagram and Youtube and it's like they're everywhere! It took me a while to decide on if I wanted to get a Nume product because they're sooooo expensive! O__O; However, they're absolutely a great investment if you get their products on sale or with special coupon/deal. I purchased my Magic Wand during a Black Friday sale and I got it for around 60-70% off. Same thing with the hair dryer, I bought it on special during Christmas for about 60% off and I have to say, best idea ever.

If you're on the fence, I'd definitely check out hair tutorials with people using the wand. I spent a good couple days watching different videos and reading reviews on them before making a decision on which wand to purchase. Hopefully you can find a special coupon (sure you can, since every Youtuber with hair on the planet has a special code just for them lol), and take the jump! Good luck! ^___^ As always, thank you so much for reading. ♥
